Ingredients
- 500g lean beef mince
- 1 onion, finely diced
- 1 egg
- 2 cups breadcrumbs (fresh)
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 tbsp dried Italian herbs
- 3 tsp garlic, crushed
- 1 onion, finely diced
- 2 cans crushed tomatoes
- 2 tbsp dried oregano
Method
- Combine meat ball ingredients (beef mince, onion, egg, breadcrumbs, flour, dried Italian
herbs) and form into small walnut size balls and brown in a pan using olive oil. Put aside. - For sauce fry onion and garlic, add canned tomatoes and oregano. Simmer until reduced.
- Add meatballs and continue to simmer until heated through and sauce is thickened.
- Serve on top of pasta or served in a crusty roll topped with cheese for a meatball sub.
